Terms of Service
Effective 2026-05-04
These terms cover your use of Pleenx — the marketing site, the dashboard at /app, and the APIs. By signing in or paying for a plan you agree to them.
What Pleenx is
A subscription web service that monitors public-internet properties of domains you tell us about (SSL chain, DNS records, HTTP availability, WHOIS expiry) on a schedule and sends alerts when thresholds are crossed.
Account & eligibility
- You must be 16 or older. The service is intended for use in business contexts.
- One human, one account. Don't share credentials.
- You're responsible for everything that happens under your account.
Trial
New accounts get 14 days of full access without a payment method. After 14 days you either choose a plan or your account pauses (data preserved for 30 days, then deleted unless you return).
Billing
- Plans are monthly or annual, charged in advance. Annual plans get two months free.
- Stripe processes payments — we never see your card data.
- Currency is USD. Prices include VAT/GST where required by your jurisdiction.
- Failed renewals trigger one retry over 5 days; after that the account pauses.
Refunds & cancellation
- 30-day money-back guarantee on every paid plan — no reason required.
- Cancel anytime — one click in the customer portal. No retention dance.
- Annual plans are pro-rated on full unused months on cancel after the 30-day window.
- Monthly plans are not refunded mid-month, but you keep access through the end of the period.
- A new charge made by mistake: email hello@pleenx.com within 7 days, we refund.
Full details, including how to request a refund and the rare exceptions, live on the refund policy page.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Monitor domains you don't own or aren't explicitly authorised to monitor (e.g. by a client). Pleenx checks are public-internet probes — the same as a browser visit — but volume and persistence still count.
- Use Pleenx as part of a denial-of-service attack or to fingerprint targets you don't have permission to probe.
- Attempt to break, reverse-engineer, scrape, or rate-limit-bypass the service.
- Resell raw API output as a competing monitoring product without a written agreement.
White-label PDF reports for your own clients are explicitly fine — that's the whole point. Reselling per-domain access to third parties as your own monitoring product is not — talk to us about a partnership instead.
Service availability
Internal target: 99.9% monthly uptime for the dashboard and the cron-driven check pipeline. Concrete SLAs are available on Studio plan and bespoke for fixed-term engagements. We are not liable for outages of the upstream services we depend on (Vercel, Supabase, Resend, DNS) beyond passing on any credits we receive from them.
Your data
You own the data you put into Pleenx (hostnames, alert config, etc). We hold a limited license to process it for the purpose of providing the service. On account deletion, all of it is removed within 30 days.
Read the privacy policy for what we store, where, and for how long.
Intellectual property
Pleenx (the brand, the marks, the design system, the product) is ours. The code we write for the service is ours. The content you publish on a Pleenx-hosted page (e.g. a status page, a white-label report) is yours.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate the acceptable-use rules above, with immediate effect for severe abuse and with notice for everything else. We'll always offer a data export before deletion unless the violation involves illegal activity.
Liability
Pleenx is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including loss of revenue from a missed alert. Our job is to send the alert; acting on it is yours.
Changes
We'll update the "Effective" date and email all account holders for material changes. Continued use after the effective date counts as acceptance.
Governing law
Once the Pleenx LLC is incorporated (Delaware, in progress), these terms are governed by Delaware law and the courts of the State of Delaware. Until then, disputes are resolved by good-faith conversation in writing.
